About
Colossians 1:28
A life given to teaching the Word
For forty years his charge has not changed — to open the Scriptures plainly, so that everyday listeners meet God in His Word and are changed by it.
2 Timothy 2:15
The teacher is the guide; the Word is the hero
Since October 2008, Dr. David H. McKinley has served as Pastor-Teacher of Warren Baptist Church in Augusta, Georgia — the work to which four decades of ministry have led him.
David H. McKinley has been in ministry for 40 years, proclaiming, inspiring and encouraging listeners with foundational truths from God’s Word.
He makes complex theology accessible through everyday language that prompts personal transformation — never softening the text, but carrying it close enough to where people live that the truth can take hold.
The title he carries, Pastor-Teacher, names the calling itself: to shepherd a congregation and a wider audience by patiently unfolding the Scriptures. He shares that life with his wife, Connie, and continues to teach each week to the church family in Augusta and to listeners far beyond it.
